Ladies Night Out

Rather than the usual third Thursday of the month, the ladies will have their monthly night out this Thursday at Pastabilities at 6 p.m.  If you have any questions, see Janet or Gloria.

 

Bible Class Promotion

Wednesday evening will begin the new Fall quarter for Bible classes.  Therefore, the children will be promoted to their new classes both on Wednesday and Sunday.

 

“Back to School Brunch”

All women with children in school (kindergarten thru college) are invited to a "Back to School Brunch" at the home of Elaine Scott on Saturday, September 11th from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.  A prayer will be led on behalf of our school-age children.  A sign-up sheet is posted for those that plan to attend.

 

Birthday Celebrations

There will be two special birthday parties the  weekend of September 11th and 12th.  On the 11th from 3-5 p.m., there will be a 90th birthday celebration for Wanda Roberts, and on Sunday the 12th from 2-4 p.m., there will be a reception to honor Hartley Carlton for his 80th birthday.  Both will be held here at the building.  No gifts-just cards please.

Secret Sisters

The Secret Sister program will begin again in September.  There is a sign-up sheet posted on the board in the foyer.  See Becky Wattleworth if you have any questions.

Sunshine Box

We will begin collecting items for a Sunshine Box again.  Wylie Seaton, Becky's brother, will receive that first box.  There is a container in the foyer in which to put "goodies" for Wylie.  Deadline will be September 11th.  If you have any suggestions for any future recipients, see Becky.

Married Bible Study

On Saturday, September 18th, the Dunlaps will begin a monthly Bible study/potluck for ALL married couples at their home.  Bring a dish to share and join in for an evening of studying God's word and fellowship. 

Parent’s Night Out

Parent's Night Out will be starting up again.  If you would be willing to host a night, please sign up on the sheet in the foyer.  The Wattleworths will be hosts for the month of September.  More details to follow.

Teacher Appreciation Potluck

On Sunday, September 19th, there will be a Teacher Appreciation potluck immediately following morning services.  Duane and Sarah Dunlap will be hosting this fellowship.

Illinois Christian Camp Golf Classic

There are registration forms on the white table in the foyer for those interested in playing in the annual Illinois Christian Camp Golf Classic on October 9th at Hickory Point Golf Course.  If you need any further information, see Greg Swango.
